VO2 Performance Bikes Announce Title Sponsorship of the Progressive Cycle Coaching Development Squad.
VO2 Performance Bikes are pleased to announce that we will become title sponsors to the Progressive Development Team in 2012. Under this three year agreement the team will be known as The VO2 Development Team.
The aim of the Development Team is to give the UK’s most promising under 23 riders a professional platform from which they can make the right steps along the road to becoming professional riders. With our knowledge, expertise and contacts we hope to see team members progress into Europe and onto the top Pro Teams.
VO2 Performance Bikes believe it is vital to be involved in our sport at grass roots and professional levels. Feedback from our sponsored athletes is fed back into our bike designs and ensures we can continue to offer award and race winning machines. The agreement with the Progressive Development Team will work well alongside our sponsorship of Jonathon Hotchkiss, one the UK’s best professional Triathletes.
Our goal is to be the best development team in the UK. With a structured 3 year development plan riders will join the team, be coached and attend a range of events from local races to national and interclub events in Belgium and France. These are the real stepping stones to the pro circuit.
Already the team boasts a successful line of athletes and we hope our involvement will continue to develop more British riders. VO2 Performance Bikes will be supporting the riders in a variety of ways including the launch of a promotional wristband. These will be available to purchase from the VO2 Performance Bikes website for £5. Anyone wishing to contribute to the success of the Development Team and the future of British Cycling can visit the site and purchase a wristband. All profits go direct to the team.
